In 2023, I had the privilege of visiting Bal Ashram, a long-term rehabilitation center for survivors of child labor and trafficking. Working alongside the staff and educators there reaffirmed my commitment to supporting and advocating for children. The children of Bal Ashram impacted me in countless ways. A couple years ago, thanks to the incredible Morgan Keyt, I was given the opportunity to contribute to Media Voices for Children’s Quarterly Child Rights Magazine. I’m grateful to share that the article has now been published.

This edition is rooted in the premise that a safe environment is inseparable from children’s rights. My time at Bal Ashram showed me how deeply connected a child’s safety, environment, and right to play are.
